Midas Touch

So it’s the end of February and I’ve somehow managed to only do two blog posts… Oops! But I have a reason for that: February has been a crazy month for me, the good kind of crazy. I have embraced it though as January was not a hot month for me, which was a sucky way to bring in the new year. I can say my year officially started in February though right?! This month has been filled with beach swims, weekends away, late night adventures, lots of dancing, new friends and maybe a few sneaky kisses here and there 😉

People need to embrace their crazy more often, it is honestly one of the most freeing and soul satisfying things to do for yourself. I don’t want to sound like I think I’m a fountain of knowledge and advice but the moment you stop caring about what others think of you and do what makes you happy, your happiness levels double. At the end of the day why do you care what Sally the checkout chick thinks of your blue eyeliner, sequinned shorts and inability to match Adele’s singing voice while you’re waiting in the queue?

Not that I necessarily believe in humans having a ‘purpose’, I do believe that if I had to determine what my reason for being on this planet was, it would be to add a little bit of fun and magic into people’s lives. So consider this advice my way of making that true.

I want you to promise to yourself that you’re going to throw yourself into life, after all, great stories don’t often start with you sitting at home in your pjs. Text that person what you really feel, dance like no one’s watching and say yes to opportunities when they come knocking.

For these photos I was channeling a 70s house wife who married a rich doctor who always happens to have work trips away… And by work trips I mean an affair, which she’s 100% aware of.
